You'd like Overlord on your PS3, wouldn't you? Who wouldn't? Console games sport the exact same features as the ones mentioned above. Throughout the game players will actively control a horde of these gremlin-like critters and they'll follow your every instruction no matter how despotic or, for the Minions, life threatening it is. They believe you are the old Overlord reborn and will use their unique skills to fetch, fight and die for you. Overlord's key innovation is the introduction of an array of impish creatures - the Minions, as I found via an early report containing the game's description. Only the player's actions will determine if they rise to become the new all-powerful Overlord it's all down to how much of a bad ass they want to be in order to succeed? evil or really evil! Played out with plenty of black humor and dark irony, the game will immerse players in twisted parodies of classic fantasy scenarios and characters. Let's see what Overlord is all about and why it would have been logical for the PS3 to get it:Ĭontrolling a mysterious figure that has inherited the legacy of the evil, long-dead Overlord, the player emerges, near death, from the ruins of the old Overlord's Dark Tower. It's just too much work, considering all the stuff they'd have to tweak up. The company is well known for releasing turn-based strategy PC-game Age of Wonders, often compared to Master of Magic Age of Wonders, but it's not likely for the PS3 to see a port of Age of Wonders. Yes, according to 1UP.com, "Triumph Studios, creators of Overlord, have a job posting where they're looking for a PlayStation 3 programmer who will be responsible for 'porting X360/PC code base to PS3.'" Sadly, an update on this piece of news says that Overlord for the PS3 is not the case at all. However, just one great title could do the trick. There are just not enough out there to motivate potential buyers. Everyone can agree that Sony needs to do something about the PS3's titles.
